The present left of the standard NL 148: 1999 prescribed a method of determination of the resistance to the fire of block-doors and block-closings conceived for an installation in the preserved openings in the vertical separation elements as: - of the swiveling doors or leaf; - of doors sliding horizontally and vertically including the sliding doors articulated to several element; - of closings in accordion to only one partition in steel (no freestanding); - of other doors in sliding accordion; - of the rocking doors; - of curtains to coil. The present standard must be read together with the European standard IN 1363-1, tests of resistance to fire–general prescriptions. Doors tried according to this standard can be accepted in applications of elevator doors No prescription is not included for the mechanical condition (for example, of tests of good working or durability) because it is included in the suitable product standard. It is also permitted to use the present method to determine by analogy the resistance to the horizontal door fire no carriers. However, they are not specifically treated here and the domain of direct application given to the article 13 is not valid for the oriented horizontally doors. Tests of valves firebreak and closings for carriers and systems of transport to rail are excluded expressly.
