1.2.1 The facings referred to in the present document are: - fine vitrified stone tiles (glazed or not); - extruded stone tiles (glazed or not); - terracotta tiles (glazed or not); - glass paste mosaic; - limestone or marble slabs. 1.2.2 These facings can be applied to the following substrates: - tamped standard aggregate solid concrete; - stone masonry; - hollow terracotta brick masonry; - solid or perforated terracotta brick masonry; - solid or hollow block, standard or light aggregate concrete masonry. The masonry referred to above may either be rough or coated with a hydraulic binder-based coating in accordance with the conditions listed in part 1 : “Facing using hydraulic binder mortars”. 1.3 This document does not cover exterior wall linings that are fixed mechanically. These are the subject of part 4 : “Fine stone wall linings”.
