The present document defines the conditions for applying wall linings consisting of fine stone slabs intended to constitute the visible face of the vertical walls of buildings, fixed by fasteners to a masonry or concrete support whose stability is otherwise assured. It applies to all buildings, irrespective of their intended use (residential, offices, schools, hospitals, commercial, etc.); it does not cover civil engineering works (decks, shouldering walls, lights, etc.) unless the techniques used are similar to those of the building. This document does not deal with: - totally sealed linings, which are the subject of another standard; - linings shuttered in situ or used as the mould base of prefabricated panels; - angled facings.
