Essentially, this document concerns thick plastic facings applied to the following subtrates, both on new buildings and for maintenance work: - masonry coated with a hydraulic binder-based coating; - in-situ formed concrete, rough or coated. N.B.: Thick plastic facings are sometimes used on other substrates such as metal, wood or asbestos cement. Their application may demand special preparations, to be defined in each individual case, and these substrates are not covered by this document.
