This European Standard specifies the design, testing and marking requirements for spring loaded pressure relief valves (PRV), for use in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders. This Technical Specification gives guidance for the assessment of conformity of formulations, products and assemblies in accordance with EN 1453 1 intended to be included in the manufacturer’s quality plan as part of the quality management system and for the establishment of certification procedures. It is recommended that the quality management system conforms to or is no less stringent than the relevant requirements to EN ISO 9001 [1]. If certification is involved, it is recommended that the certification body is preferably compliant with EN ISO/IEC 17065 [5] or EN ISO/IEC 17021 [3], as applicable. In order to help the reader, a basic test matrix is given in Annex A, Table A.1. In conjunction with EN 1453 1, this document is applicable to piping systems made of unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) intended to be used for the following purposes: - for soil and waste discharge systems (low and high temperature) inside buildings (application area code "B"); This is reflected in the marking of products by "B".

Aggregates for bituminous mixtures and surface treatments for roads, airfields and other trafficked areas

This European Standard specifies the properties of aggregates and filler aggregates obtained by processing natural or manufactured or recycled materials for use in bituminous mixtures and surface treatments for roads, airfields and other trafficked areas. This standard does not cover the use of reclaimed bituminous mixtures. It provides for the evaluation of conformity of the products to this European Standard. NOTE 1 The requirements in this European Standard are based upon experience with aggregate types with an established pattern of use. Care should be taken when considering the use of aggregates from sources with no such pattern of use, e.g., recycled aggregates and aggregates arising from certain industrial by-products. Such aggregates, which should comply with all the requirements of this European Standard, could have other characteristics not included in Mandate M 125 that do not apply to the generality of aggregates types with an established pattern of use and when required, provisions valid at the place of use can be used to assess their suitability. NOTE 2 Properties for lightweight aggregates are specified in prEN 13055-2.


Lightweight Aggregates - Part 2: Lightweight Aggregates for Bituminous Mixtures and Surface Treatments and for Unbound and Bound Applications Excluding Concrete, Mortar and grout

This part of this European Standard specifies the properties and technical requirements for lightweight aggregates and filters derived thereof, for bituminous mixtures and surface treatments and for unbound and bound applications other than concrete, mortar and grout The European Standard covers lightweight aggregates of mineral origin having particle densities not exceeding 2000 kg/m3 (2.00 Mg/m3) or loose bulk densities not exceeding 1200 kg/m3 (1.20 Mg/m3) including: natural aggrades, aggregates manufactured from natural materials and/or from by-products of industrial processes, by-products of industrial processes (excluding incinerator residues), recycled aggregates. It provides for the evaluation of conformity of the products to this European Standard. NOTE 1 Care should be taken when using aggregates without an established pattern of end-use and additional requirements may be needed for certain aggregates and for those from recycled materials. NOTE 2 As long as definite knowledge of recycling materials is not available, recycled aggregates may only e used provided that their suitability has been assessed in accordance with the regulations valid at the place of use


Aggregates for Mortar

This European Standard specifies the properties of aggregates and filler aggregates obtained by processing natural, manufactured or recycled materials and mixtures of these aggregates for use in mortar, e.g., a) masonry mortar, b) floor/screed mortar, c) surfacing of internal walls (plastering mortar), d) rendering of external walls, e) special bedding materials, f) repair mortar, g) grouts, for buildings, roads and civil engineering works. This standard does not cover filler aggregates to be used as a constituent in cement or as other than inert filler aggregates for mortars or aggregates to be used in the surface layer of industrial floors. It provides for the evaluation of conformity of the products to this European Standard. NOTE 1 The requirements in this European Standard are based upon experience with aggregate types with an established pattern of use. Care should be taken when considering the use of aggregates from sources with no such pattern of use, e.g., recycled aggregates and aggregates arising from certain industrial by-products. Specification and testing for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank valves and fittings

This European Standard specifies minimum requirements for the design, testing and production testing of valves, including appropriate fittings, which are connected to mobile or static LPG pressure vessels above 150 l water capacity. Pressure relief valves and their ancillary equipment, contents gauges and automotive LPG components are outside the scope of this European Standard. This European Standard does not apply to refineries or other process plants.


Gullies for Buildings - Part 1: Requirements

This standard classifies gullies, gives guidance for places of installation and specifies requirements for the construction, design, performance and marking of factory made gullies for buildings, irrespective of material, for use in drainage systems operating under gravity including siphonic systems. NOTE Although normally used to convey domestic wastewater, industrial wastewater and rainwater, gullies c€tn convey other wastewater provided there is no risk of damage to components or of injury to heallh. This standard does not apply to gully tops and manhole tops which are specified in EN 124.


Gullies for Buildings - Part 2: Test Methods

This European Standard classifies roof drains and floor gullies without trap for use inside buildings, gives guidance for places of installation and specifies requirements for the construction, design, performance and marking as well as test methods of factory made roof drains and floor gullies without trap (further: floor gullies) for buildings, irrespective of the material for use in drainage systems. Although normally used to convey rainwater and wastewater, these roof drains and floor gullies without trap may convey other wastewater provided there is no risk of damage to components or of injury to health. This European Standard does not apply to trapped floor gullies with a depth of water seal of at least 50 mm as specified in EN 1253 1.

This European Standard applies to wastewater drainage systems, which operate under gravity. It is applicable for drainage systems inside dwellings and commercial, institutional and industrial buildings. This third part of this European Standard describes a method of calculating the hydraulic adequacy of non-siphonic roof drainage systems and gives performance requirements for siphonic roof drainage systems. It also sets standards for the layout and installation of roof drainage insofar as they affect flow capacity.


Gravity Drainage Systems Inside Buildings – Part 4: Wastewater Lifting Plants - Layout and Calculation

This part gives layout, operation and maintenance requirements for lifting plants for wastewater containing faecal matter, faecal-free wastewater and rainwater within buildings and sites, together with their discharge pipework and connection to drain. It also covers faecal wastewater lifting plants for limited applications.
